Cassina - 840 Stadera
Item Description

First created by Franco Albini for the Marcenaro home in Genoa, this writing desk has a single leg and works on the balance created by the inequality of the arms, much like the “Stadera”, or pendulum scales, to which it owes its name.

Composed of two trapezoidal-shaped surfaces, of different thickness - a main and a side top - of two different depths, measuring D.63cm and D.83cm respectively, supported by a single steel base painted matt black. The main structure measures W.142 x H.76cm.

Five surface finishes are available; American Walnut, Natural Ashwood, Stained Black Ashwood, White Carrara Marble and Natural Cement.

A stiff leather top cover in a wide range of different colours is also available for use on the main surface.
